CSSJ Sores High with New Drones

CSSJ robotics class is about kids learning how to code and fly drones on the 3 floor hallway. This is happing right now in the fall semester of 2025. The students are learning how to program to complete challenges.

Alex, who is in the class, said, “[w]hat I learned in robotics includes several things. For example, there are many codes to make the drone work, and also to make the drone, when it stops, increase its speed or altitude, depending on the type of task. It also uses some code, like loops, to make the drone repeat a certain action several times, such as three times or for as long as it’s true.” Another student, Yahir said, “I had to create variables to sense the wall,” to avoid the drones from colliding.

Overall, the class is a fun STEM experience, and CSSJ is lucky to have it.
