On Friday, May 9th, students who earned perfect attendance for the month of April were treated to watching the new Thunderbolts movie. It was a rainy day, but students were still excited and eager to watch the new movie.
Thunderbolts, is a new Marvel movie that consists of heroes, super-villains, and familiar faces. It is not the usual superhero movie, it is more about working together and finding a way to deal with the difficult emotional issues within ones self. The cast consists of actors Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour.
“The movie was awesome, I love having these perfect attendance trips. It makes me feel appreciated and seen”. – Donovan Dargan, a 12th grade student.
The trip was chaperoned by Sherry-ann and Ashley. This was a way to celebrate the students who put in the work everyday. It doesn’t hurt to leave the building once in a while. All of the students loved the movie as they reacted to the plot twists, everyone left the movie theater talking about the movie.
This perfect attendance trip wasn’t just a movie, it was a way recognize the dedication and responsibility of students who come to school everyday and put in the hard work. Next months perfect attendance trip is Six Flags, come to school!
